that's me

I am human
an angry white old man, a rebel. an underdog not liking the establishment
a humanist, a free spirit loving freedom and independence, danced and played on the street, grew up in the off scene. I don't accept a boss, a superior
doing “dirty art”
working artistically with fringe groups. including homeless, refugees, immigrants,
socially marginalised and mentally ill people, alcoholics.
Now my materials are: waste, garbage, recycling stuff, plastic, pet bottles and so on.

my goal is
to eat the rich fighting for distributive justice and gender equality in all areas of life.
to stop climate and nature-destroying economic growth, replace profit maximisation with demand orientation, locking up egotistical, power-hungry, corrupt, misanthropic politicians and locking out psychopaths, mentally disturbed people in politics, business and religions. Men are burning the world, I don' t want to be a man any more.
my work is
characterized by the interplay between perceptions of reality and imagination, my work incorporates a varity of materials in addressindg patterns of communication and aspects of how we percieve our own lives. The mental states of people and their feelings and desires are the points of departure and the foundation of my artistic work.

the world in which we find ourselves, is a recurring theme in my art. this ancient structure, and ariadne’s thread (which symbolizes a pathway through the maze)
is reflected in my artistic work. the process of my art involves the finding of an internal pathway through thoughts and feelings, which are manifested in the external (creation of art). the confusing twists and turns presented by the labyrinth challenge my ability to apply logic. my intention is to apply rational thoughts to develop new approaches and techniques in my artworking. The labyrinth questions the very nature of perception, blurs the line between what is perceive to be true and what is false? The labyrinth provokes such questions as what is it? what is the mask and what is behind it?

my work process is one of a daily journey across the abyss, between euphoria and argony, triumph and defeat. the central theme of my artistic work is the exposure
of man to a world which constantly demands sacrifice, and the ways in which mankind responds to repression. i believe that art is supposed to lead people back to themselves. art must evoke the formation of opinions, art must make walls permable, art must break down, expose, and confront old patterns of doing. art offers us an antidote to the blind ramming of our heads against walls. it provides us with keys to our doors of perception, allowing us to break through barriers and open portals to better worlds, worlds in which human rights, and democratic freedoms are living institutions. through
my practice of art, i wish to stimulate our innate humancapacity for sympathy and empathy, share and celebrate mutual human experience of our existence.
